Chad Ferrando rips a single while his biggest fans look on from the stands
Redwood needed just 5 innings to dispatch the Bulldogs on Thursday at home. Moody Field was looking sharp and so were the Giants as they had 14 runs, while yielding just 1 hit and no runs to San Rafael. Aaron Halford, Henry Zeisler, Zach Tonnerre and Nicolas Belgium combined for 8 of the 11 hits, contributing 2 hits apiece. Chad Ferrando, Riley Marsh, and Hugo Dalzell-Piper rounded out the Giants hitting attack. Tyler Warren gave up just 1 hit, pitching 4 shut-out innings. Trevor Foehr closed it out, pitching a perfect frame in the 5th. To San Rafael’s credit, 8 of the 11 players who played in the game are freshmen who fought hard until the end. The Giants take the show on the road against Terra Linda on Saturday.
